Volunteer

In the past, volunteers have helped us to build recycle parks, run spay/neuter clinics, clean beaches, and teach workshops to the women of our so-op. We do have different needs for each of our programs and different levels of experience required for each position however we are always looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our team.

Volunteering with PEACE is different from our Internship Programs in several ways. When volunteering, you are working on a flexible schedule and are responsible for your own housing, transportation and food. Many volunteers live here full or part time or simply come to the area to work with us for several months. We have short term and long term opportunities for our volunteers. Short term opportunities involve less commitment usually and are under one month. Long term volunteering positions are anywhere from one month to a year, and involve a greater commitment to the project and to PEACE. When volunteering with PEACE, you will work on the project that is best suited for you and your skills and interests.

It is important to us that the volunteer experience is a positive one for all individuals involved. It is also very important to us here at PEACE that our volunteers go through an application process. We need people who are passionate about helping and who are willing to be ambassadors of PEACE 's philosophy. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator for more information about how you can get involved and what our current volunteer needs are: nicole@peacemexico.org

Below is some general information about volunteering with us, tips on travelling and some fun links that you can take a look at to get to know the area a bit more.
